There are many reasons why we love our friend, Grace. In an attempt to be more direct to the point, I will just enumerate the Top 5 reasons why Grace is so special - not just to me, but to everyone I know.
1) Grace is the most positive person I know.
No matter what she's going through or how life sometimes throws her a curve ball, she always approaches things with much optimism.
2)Grace is so easy to be with.
She carries no baggage and can laugh at herself, even through the tough times. I have not encountered anyone I introduced her to who did not like her IMMEDIATELY.
3) Grace will do anything for her family.
I have always admired how Grace supports her family - from always being there to lend an ear to babysitting her nephews/nieces to putting her brother, Jorel, through school. Her commitment to family is something I've always admired and hope to emulate one day.
4) Grace is my most sensible friend.
When I need advice, she always presents things in a way that is not demanding/stifling, nor patronizing. She calls things as she sees them but never makes you feel that you are being judged.
5) Grace is always there.
Grace was with me through my trying times in Manila and even if I have been living away for almost 6 years now, not once did I ever feel that she wasn't there when I needed her. I'm always comforted by the fact that she's just a phone call away and she is one of the reasons why I look forward to going home.
